The show seems a lil setup, but not enough to kill the fun in watching it.
New episodes came out this week (finally!). The best part of watching the show is catching glimpses of Brandy and Laura…

And Hester goes on … claiming the show even gave less than photogenic cast members money for plastic surgery to “create more sex appeal”.
Darrell? The plastic surgery didn’t help.
Barry is still my fav.

I liked Hester. Pretty entertaining.

A nephew worked on reality tv sets (electrician) for years. Totally fake. Remember trading spaces? He did a few seasons of that. They’d have all the crew doing painting, etc… to meet the timeline. And any wall sconce you saw – no wiring done… so they’d have to put small battery operated spots inside to make them look “functional”.And I’ve talked to folks who’ve done Househunters Int’l. Basically the home’s already purchased or under contract… then they fake take the “buyers” to places to make it look like they’re shopping. And tell them what to say, etc.
Still entertaining, though.

December 14, 2012 at 6:39 PM #756321CDMA ENGParticipantDoes not surprise me at all that SDDuuuuude likes the show… He is just “that way”. π
But what I always thought was funny is how the always portrayed anything that was profit.
For the Yup guy Dave… They always say 200 for this… 800 for that… making a net profit of 1200 dollars against his bid.
Then Dave’s 50,000 dollar rig show up with 4 guys and they all haul it a 100 miles to his shop.
I may not be an accountant but it seems like after the expense of hauling, leasing a shop, payroll, and hoping anyone buys the crap, that the margin must be razor thin.
For my 30 minutes… Give me Pawn Stars… The common man’s antique road show…
