Intriguing.
Right Now I kind if like the harsh nature of steel on back.
I want to suffer some.
inspiring me…
But anyway I’m not having back pain. Just leg and butt suffering. Today my inner left thigh felt like my weak link.
I like the bare bar on me.
I love lifting heavy weight. I like the gigantic rough callouses the deadlift is producing.
I like feeling like I’m having a heart attack maybe.

December 7, 2011 at 9:54 PM #734227briansd1GuestRaw lifting strength is over-rated. We don’t live in primitive times anymore. Times have changed.
In the modern world, there are so many other ways to compensate — good-looks, guns, money, power, etc…
There is also one thing called endurance and longevity (long-term strength and wherewithal).

A big strong physique will always command instant respect.

Wrong, the proof, Ultimate Fighting, it has become very popular? I would think you would on board with all types of exercising not just what you like.

Skinny is relative especially in relation to the average population.
I’ve never seen a big guy live to his 90s and beyond. Small people live longer.
Money commands instant respect more than anything. Witness the beautiful young women marrying rich old guys. Relating to the other thread about money and Jews, I think that Jewish American Princesses have the science of evolution pretty much down pat, haha…

I lose myself in my focus to the muscle I am working and have, on occasion emitted a grunt! Takes me quite by surprise, as it probably does anyone that might be close enough to hear. I too love the squat, I use it as a whole body balance, although I don’t go for a lot of weight. Great for the glutes, once had a man approach me and ask me if I realized what body part I was working. Well duh, my a@#, guess he didn’t think women would try to build that part of their anatomy. This was long before the whole jlo booty craze.
I am not opposed to men grunting, as needed, at the gym, am opposed to umm certain other ends making noise….or not….
