Interesting article Arraya.
The French are predominantly Catholic but talking religion with them goes nowhere. Chirac probably believed that Bush was a real nut.
And up until the Iraq War, Chirac was very pro-American.

This picture was taken in Santee. We have a Kansan in our midst.
What was I doing in Santee? I wonder that myself. π

You didn’t answer my question, either. What is the difference between Prejean’s views and Obama’s? You know the answer right? NONE.
I think that there is a big difference.
Obama has always stated that gays should have equal protection.
The problems with Prajean go beyond her answer at the Miss America pageant. Prejean played the “discrimination” card which conservatives often accuse others of abusing.
Prajean used her fame to pander to the radical social conservatives rather than seek reconciliation (which a true Miss America should do). The fact that those conservatives have chosen Prajean (a product of a dysfunctional family with questionable morals) as an icon of their movement only shows how misguided their righteous values are.
Brian: You know, looking at your response, I gotta admit I agree completely.
