OT – Giuliani is McCain’s new VP?

Tonight I randomly picked NBC as the network to watch for debate coverage. At the end of the debate, Brian Williams talked to Joe Biden for a reaction. Then Brain Williams said that NBC asked Sarah Palin to come on the show as well, but the Republican party declined and had Rudy Giuliani speak instead. Yeah. (In Fargo accent) O-kay! Did this happen on other networks too? Is there possibly a more glaring admission from the repubs that she is a complete dolt? I thought both Obama and McCain were off the mark about the economy, Obama less so but still no mention of the inflationary effects of deficit spending. But still, can anyone take seriously someone who would put Palin in the White House in his absence when they won’t even let her talk to Brian Williams?

BTW, several of the CNN analysts were CLEARLY quite peeved at her refusal to make any attempt at an appearance, and took a few shots at her.

I can understand why. To my knowledge, never before has a vice presidential candidate been so thoroughly choreographed and sheltered from the press. Even Quayle – liability that he was – was made available.

Frankly, she’s looking more and more like a pin-up that McCain brought on simply because she was a female and he thought that would appeal to the Hillary crowd. Got news for you – women are, in general, and especially in the Hillary crowd, smart enough to see through that ploy.
