With respect to names I think everyone should read the chapter from Freakonomics. Explains how names have gone through transitions and how one’s education levels will be reflected in the names they choose for their children. By far one of the most insightful and enjoyable books I have ever read.

I’m surprised too that this thread is so popular, I guess guys do care about the naming thing! Also surprised of how many of you have young families like myself….Just wondering if anyone heard about this lady that was featured on the news (in the Chicago area anyways) and also in a few papers…apparently she has made a living by getting people to pay her to name their child with a name that will promote success, health, happiness…etc. etc.
I personally thought this was hilarious and wouldn’t do it, but to each their own, and just goes to show you can make a business outta anything! She’s a “Nameologist”…..

If you want to give your newborn a head start in life the first and last name should start with the same letter.
As an example, Ann Anderson, Madison Monday, Samatha Smith,
Robert Roberts etc. These names would give an marketing edge as compared to, Jane Anderson, Judy Monday, Roberta Smith & Bill Roberts.
