Dear Obama:
You are a failure as a commander-in-chief. I have no respect for you. Check out the article in Rolling Stone. I dare you to fire me.
Mockingly,
General McChrystal
p.s. This is your chance to show everyone if you have any C. O. Jones or not. I’m guessing you don’t. If you do, then I’m glad to be away from this disaster. Win/win for me. Later, chump.
McChrystal quote:
McChrystal issued a statement on Monday night expressing his “sincerest apology” for the article but did not claim that he or his team was misquoted. “I have enormous respect and admiration for President Obama and his national security team, and for the civilian leaders and troops fighting this war, and I remain committed to ensuring its successful outcome.”
Yeah, that doesn’t exactly sound like someone with big cojones saying “i dare you to let me go”.
Sorry Arraya, have to disagree.

June 22, 2010 at 5:17 PM #569322ArrayaParticipantAdmittedly, I posted that for Zeits enjoyment;) I don’t know enough about the situation to make an intelligent comment. However, I think this is deeper than we can all imagine, as it always is with huge moves such as this. It just smells staged.
btw-that comment is standard PR fluff that gets put out in situations like this. I would not expect anything else regardless of what is going on behind the scenes .
Truth be known, I don’t like McChrystal because of the Tillman crap he pulled.
