As Christians we need not be upset about this ruling or any other ruling that contradicts God’s laws. We have the assurances of God’s love, protection, and salvation. No matter how sinful this world becomes, we have God to trust in and have faith that He is in control. In fact, this decision should give us reason to rejoice. This is just another step closer to the second coming of Christ. In the last days it’s prophsied that evil will become good, and good evil,
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! – Isaiah 5:20
The more this world declines into a moral corrupt state, and puts evil above good, the faster the second coming will get here. As Christians we need to rejoice, prepare, and be ready.

August 4, 2010 at 11:17 PM #586642bearishgurlParticipant
Judge Walker’s ruling overturning Prop 8 is an outrageous disrespect for our Constitution and for the majority of people of the United States who believe marriage is the union of husband and wife. In every state of the union from California to Maine to Georgia, where the people have had a chance to vote they’ve affirmed that marriage is the union of one man and one woman. Congress now has the responsibility to act immediately to reaffirm marriage as a union of one man and one woman as our national policy. Today’s notorious decision also underscores the importance of the Senate vote tomorrow on the nomination of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court because judges who oppose the American people are a growing threat to our society.
Precisely, NewtGringrich. Having been around a block or two, I see this issue going to the US Supreme Court in short order and for the last reason mentioned above, I see the 9th Circuit decision being upheld.

This is not as “bad” in and of itself as you make it out to be. If you are secure in yourself and YOUR OWN orientation and beliefs, you will not fear it.

In at least one passage he condemned marriage in general. He preached a lot of loving your neighbor and all that. We christians tend to ignore that silly old book when it suits us.
