I agree, spd.
Blacks have always been LIFO (last in, first out) when it comes to economic opportunities.
In today’s globalized world, lower class Whites are suffering the same problems of low education, out of wedlock parenthood, drugs, etc…
Everyone has a stake in reforms that work.

In fact I’m pretty sure there isnt

No one is denying that the looting is a crime.
The Baltimore police are claiming that killing a man for sport is a not a crime – when they do it.

And it’s great they are going to jail

They killed a man for sport? Really? Talk about hyperbole and hysterics.
May 4, 2015 at 10:09 PM #785844spdrunParticipantSport, revenge, punishment, whatever. They’re accused of overstepping their authority. If they’re convicted, they need a few decades to think about what they did.

the biggest antisemites are jews[/quote]
let’s say your premise is true. Some black people hate black people and some Jews are antisemitic. How are the nonblacks and nonjews supposed to act? Sounds like damn if you do and damn if you don’t situation.

Lawfully and within the bounds of their authority if they have any authority.

We don’t yet know what caused his injuries, or why. We need to see what comes out in the trial.
In no way am I condoning what the cops did if they caused his injuries and subsequent death. We just need to know all of the details before we start accusing them of “killing for sport” (or revenge, etc.). If it turns out that they did more than just try to subdue/arrest him, then I’m all for jail time. But we just need to know more before we can make that judgement.
May 5, 2015 at 9:11 AM #785848FlyerInHiGuestCAr, glad to see you believe there should be a trial. The charges brought by the state attorney were appropriate.
May 5, 2015 at 11:13 AM #785853scaredyclassicParticipantSome info knife may have been illegal under local ordinance. Need knife experts…not a switchblade but had a spring.
May 5, 2015 at 3:02 PM #785861spdrunParticipantCharges are appropriate, and it’s a crying shame that Maryland abolished the death penalty last year. If those cops get found guilty, it’s a shame they can’t spend the last few minutes of their lives in a little glass room, choking on a cloud of gas.
The Baltimore PD doesn’t only do it to people with criminal records and knives. They did it to a couple (the lady was a librarian at Johns Hopkins) to retaliate for them recording police responding to a noise complaint:
Maybe if a few cops are made an example of by the courts, this behavior would cease.

Justice for the victims. We need to be implacable against criminals to deter further such crimes.

Baltimore Police Officer Caesar R. Goodson Jr. was charged Friday with second-degree depraved-heart murder in the death of Freddie Gray, who died in police custody. “Depraved-heart” second-degree murder holds that the suspect held a reckless disregard for another person’s life.
Put another way, “It is a deliberate act that is so dangerous that it shows total indifference to someone else’s life,” said David Moyse, also a Maryland defense attorney.
They were having some fun by restraining a human being and then bouncing him around inside the metal compartment of a moving vehicle.
From your comments here, it seems that you think such behavior is acceptable when cops do it.
