Funny thing.
I have a recurring issue with gutter punks (the ones that sit there high and ask you for change as you walk by) parking in front of my office (we are near Ichiban).
One of the things I have said to them to get them to go is to remind that them that essentially, I am doing the same thing. Please don’t crowd.
Those must have been different punks (cruster vs gutter?) than the ones on the Vermont St bridge who always offered me a hit off their joint rather than begging for change.
I loved those guys.

Studies show that 75% of studies are flawed.

My own observations show that it’s its true. Just watch kids and parents put food of their plate they don’t eat.
Watch Americans eat. There is always piles of food and paper napkins on the table. Wasteful and unsightly.
January 5, 2012 at 7:44 PM #735460scaredyclassicParticipantI found 9 unopened liters of olive oil, discarded cause one in the case broke and got oil on the others.
January 5, 2012 at 9:22 PM #735461moneymakerParticipantNice find! Olive oil is expensive these days. Reminds me of a guy that worked for food for less who shall remain anonymous. Said when working the night shift stocking, some things would accidently get dropped, discarded, and eventually found their way into his house. He said he could have easily lived off the amount of food discarded though it would not have been a balanced diet.
January 5, 2012 at 9:45 PM #735462scaredyclassicParticipantAlso got 5 bags of sun dried tomatoes … Kids say well get more varied dietvsince we will eat strange foods dumpster diving
January 5, 2012 at 11:54 PM #735465svelteParticipantReminds me of when we lived in CV and I was taking my two toddlers into the house. A car slowly drove by.
“Pssst! I work for a meat distributor and have some extra meat in my trunk. Wanna buy it cheap?”
Uh, no I said. My family’s health is not worth saving a few cents.
Furniture, art, maybe even clothes may be okay out of a dumpster. But never something my family will consume.
