OT: Doing business with chinese people who are superstitious

I’m a believer in Feng Shui, if only as a guide to space design and creating a harmonious clutter free life.

When I go to an Asian house, I anticipate simplicity, beauty and harmony. It’s a huge letdown if I encounter a cluttered mess and garish decor.

Maybe people focus too much on superstitious numbers and omens, and not enough on the harmonious clutter free life that Feng Shui is supposed to be all about.

Well, if they called it 8s ranch, I probably would end up living there, along with the other chinese nutjobs.

I’ll tell you, when I was up in the bay area. I got killed during 8 months I lived in Foster City, had the biggest problems dating, and had the worst time working…….and then when I moved to Sunnyvale, everything started going really well on all 3 fronts.

I don’t like communism but the only right thing they did correctly was to try to beat the hell out of the Asian superstitious mind. I couldn’t agree with them more on this attempt, however, even the communists failed. Some of these superstitious beliefs are so ridiculous and I sometimes just wanna spank some of these old folks real bad.
