I once met a goldendoodle puppy and fell in love. We were living in a motel at the time *scream* so adopting him was not an option. But, oh was he sweet.
I just put my dog down a couple weeks ago. He was a half Husky, half Golden. He was a shedding machine all year around. We adopted him 12 years ago out of the Rancho Coastal Humane Society. He was a great dog for us, and the only good thing about putting him down was it ended his misery.
My kids are grown and I don’t want to go through that again so we’re going to be pet-free from here on out.

My dad has a Labradoodle – he’s allergic to other dogs. IIRC, they got him as a puppy from Australia, as the Ozzies seem to have made a name for themselves breeding them.
Dad’s not reported any allergic reaction, and Sunny has a disposition very similar to his name. He’s a sweet dog.
