Participant“Methinks somebody else parrots a certain political wings media when using terms like “liberal elitist””
That’s funny because I rarely engage in the media that you speak of. I can’t stand Hannity anymore since he is an unabashed apologist for GWB and mega dittos for Rush and his cheerleading for this administration.
But I love it how you use the same sad and tired retort that is used commonly as a defense for criticism of Clinton’s policies, “Well, Bush….”

ParticipantI just avoid talking politics with friends that I know have different views. It’s like religion. I respect their right to their beliefs, and while I sometimes question whether they equally respect mine, its not worth the stress of argument.
Even at work, in a fairly politically-charged environment, everyone knows that spouting one’s personal views or challenging someone else’s will create problems down the road. Taking partisan sides is career suicide for a bureaucrat like me.
