There have been a lot of wine threads. And I think beer once in awhile. But what about booze? Anyone have a particular cocktail they could not live without that they wish to urge upon the group?
I am a very strong creature of habit, and I drink almost exclusively Gin and Tonic or Americanos (campari vermouth and soda water). One or two, or maybe three a day. Once in a while it’ll switch to the mojito for a few days (I raise my own mint). or a negroni (gin, campari and vermouth). Pimm’s Cup No. 1 on a blue moon. I believe bitter cocktails extend one’s lifespan, as the bitters assist in proper digestion.
Is there a drink I should be drinking? I feel satisfied with my current cocktail life and am not really seeking to branch out but perhaps I am missing out on something. I was thinking about Pernod.

For the last 30 years or so, I’ve basically been a wino, with ice and a lot of soda water thrown in.
In my younger “restaurant-worker” days, I used to like Cutty and water, with a twist. I too liked the “smooth-tasting bitter highball” then but no longer indulge in it.
