My uncle lives near Myrtle Beach and loves it. Can get a little cold in the winter, but not like northeast. South Carolina is still on the East Coast. Not sure if you want to go south. Climate in SC is still temperate compare to northeast.
My cousin lives along the Jersey shore and her kids are thriving and excelling in school. But those winters are still brutal.

December 4, 2010 at 1:58 PM #635529sdrealtorParticipantWhile I am not a Carolina guy, I have heard Wilmington is nice though not exactly a beach town. The Carolina’s while nice tend to be pretty conservative places and Bible Belt like. If that is not your style you might feel a bit out of place.
