When I was 20, yes. Arthroscopic surgery is supposed to get you in and out with no hospital stay and back on your feet in a few days.
Like every surgery I have ever had, this one came with significantly more swelling that should have happened. I was out of commission for a couple weeks, but that is supposedly not typical.
I have not had trouble w/ my knee since.

I had a similar surgery for both ligiment and meniscus in college… I had a cast on because of the ligiment damage. But that was a long time ago – so the technology may be cast free, now.
