This is unfair, but KIM that unemployment is climbing and if they ever had to let someone go, they’ll want to keep you on if you’re going out of your way to do things above and beyond. You’ve made yourself indispensible, in a way.

Of course, if they let you go, I know a good discrimination attorney.

Travel and Per Diem will be paid, and there won’t be a manager there supervising you. Sounds like a paid vacation.

Run over your foot, or just wear a wrap around your arm to disqualify yourself.

If this was a private sector, I’d say, sorry depending on how much you value having a job these days, you sort of have to take it unless you have an option to go elsewhere.
