scaredy,
It sounds like not drinking for a bit is pretty nice for a change.
Hope everything continues to go well with your experiment. I know it can’t be easy.

April 3, 2011 at 7:14 PM #682976PCinSDGuestScaredy, nothing wrong with taking a break from the booze. I do it once a year, but in moderation π
I drink my fair share, but I copied a buddy of mine and for several years now have taken one full month off each year. I usually pick a month when there’s not much going on. It feels good to cleanse the system, save money, and drop a couple of pounds. I drink more Diet DrPepper during that time, tho.
It’s not difficult, particularly when you can put an exact number on the goal. It’s instant gratification. Maybe that’s an addiction, tho. Sorry.
Moderation in all things, including moderation.

April 3, 2011 at 7:36 PM #682986NotCrankyParticipantRustico happens to have a very fun 4 year old and a bag of marshmallows. He did five minutes no problem but played with the thing for the last three minutes. First is was a prosthetic nose, than a thumb ring etc. When he got the second one he just kept playing with them and finally shoved both of them in his mouth in one last great burst of goofiness.
