Will they contain lead, mercury, or just MSG? 🙂
(In all seriousness, not everything sold in WalMart is made in China.)

Good point. I recently read an article regarding the “Made in China” versus “Made in America” labeling of Walmart products and it turns out that the latter number is increasing, while the former is dropping. Increasingly, China is also facing stiffer competition from places like Vietnam, Central American countries and Eastern European countries as China’s costs to manufacture and ship increase.
I’d like to see a Russian-themed Twinkie line as envisioned by Vladimir Putin and mass produced in the Ukraine. We could dredge up all sorts of funky Cold War shit with that. America’s iconic snack food “built” by hard-line totalitarians!

Have the factory near Chernobyl… and you can measure change the discussion from the “shelf life” of twinkies to the “half life” of twinkies. 🙂December 13, 2012 at 2:22 PM #756271Allan from FallbrookParticipant[quote=UCGal][quote=Allan from Fallbrook]

Chernobyl was, what, 1986? Holy shit! Reagan was still Prez!
One of the kids I coach was asking me when I was in the Army and I told him the 1980s and he looked at me and went, “Wow, you are REALLY old!” He enjoyed some extra sprints that practice.

Was it really that long ago… I suspect I’m older than you. I reached adulthood during the Carter era. -
