    I really don’t give a shit if someone calls me “oriental”…But supposedly, oriental refers to inanimate objects, and not people. Doing so *supposedly* is derrogatory, particularly to asian women…… Hence all the porn titles “Oriental Hottie”, Oriental XXX”, etc….

    …not that I really care….nor do I know most asians that really care…I don’t know many porn stars.

    Hah, well I would argue that in that context, it’s perfectly ok to describe a black monkey, even if there happen to be African Americans around. Mostly because… well, you’re looking at a black monkey.

    Similarly, it would be perfectly fine for an African American to call a box of white crackers a bunch of “white crackers.”
