pp, it’s no different than with Dubya. Dubya seemed like “normal folks” to a huge percentage of the country, so even when he screwed up these people kept on supporting him. With Obama they’ve just given the football to the other half of the country. Again, to a lot of us, he seems like a great guy that you’d like to hang out and have a beer with. Just like Dubya. And just as with Dubya, the other half of the country will scream bloody murder that the guy doesn’t have a clue — and they’ll be right!
They have this down to a science now. There’s no use fighting it. It will collapse of its own weight in time; right now the best we can do is to try and prepare for what comes next.
