looks like 6% inflation to me – and you want to ‘invest’ your money at 3.5%? and pay taxes on the ‘gains’ from that investment?
if you don’t understand the difference between the two CPI charts, investigate how the govt compiles the CPI – pay particular attention to ‘substitution’ and ‘hedonic adjustment’
