ParticipantAs lame as Norv is, he doesn’t line up and play.
– offensive line is lame. defenses seem to penetrate us with ease. clearly our running formations are predictable as well.
– gates is clearly not even close to what he used to be.
– rivers still has a hurt knee.
– losing lo neal is proving to be a bit more costly then we thought. tolbert is not bad but his ankle is pretty hurt.
– chambers is now out.
– lt is obviously hurt as well. the toe jam he got at the beginning of the season is hurting.*******
-our defensive line is horrendous. jamal got old fast. we have no penetration from any linemen.
-matt wilhelm is a joke as is the lb they picked up from the niners. cooper is nowhere near game shape as displayed last week. dobbins is a backup at best although I would take him over wilhelm. tucker was a decent olb but is hurt. harris is okay but just a guy. phillips is on his own and easily gets taken out with a double team.
– cromartie is learning what the nfl is all about this year. playing cb is a hell of alot easier when your team rushes the qb.
– weddle is overmatched and does not have the speed to keep up. the chargers were hoping he would turn into a john lynch type but I don’t see it.
– clinton hart would more then likely not make the roster of more then half of the nfl teams out there. how he is starting is beyond me.
– even when cotrell gets desperate and rushes 5 or 6 guys we don’t get to the qb. That means most of guys can be handled with a single linemen or tight end.This all translates to lack of talent more then anything else.
When the dolphins had that jacked up wildcard formation why the hell the chargers didn’t stack the line was beyond me. That was by far, by far the most pathetic performance I have seen. This was the dolphins. I FULLY expect Matt Castle and the patsies to carve… them…. up. When they have to play in england against drew b it could be ugly.
My prediction? Lucky if they are 8-8 this year.
