I’m hoping to buy in the low end of the market (under $300k) sometime before I die. What do you guys think will happen after the loan limits are lowered after 10/1?
Will all boats lower with the ebbing tide (downward pressure on prices) so there will be more inventory and lower prices or will the low end prices increase due to more demand in that area of the market which will raise prices due to bidding?
I’m sick of waiting but I don’t want to jump in at the worst possible post-crash moment.

To the OP, the oan limitations may help a little bit but your greatest hope will be a prolonged increasing interest rate environment that over a long period of time will whittle the buyers pool down. Hoping for a dramatic shift in the quantity of buyers is, in my opinion, a longshot at best.
