ParticipantOr more aptly called “Sleazy banker scheme to unload toxic assets on the taxpayer while turning people into debt slaves for life # 27”
Hopefully the people decide not to be “helped” again.
“All of us are paying a price for this home mortgage crisis. And all of us will pay an even steeper price if we allow this crisis to deepen,” Obama said in prepared remarks released Wednesday. –>On the cue card Obama got from the federal reserve.
We are all paying because they decided to make us all pay. That was a policy decision. Just like it was a policy decision to push up home prices.
We are all paying for the politician crisis and we will pay more as the crisis gets deeper.
I wonder what there plan B is if this does not work.

ParticipantOldie, but a goodie:
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years.
Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage.February 18, 2009 at 8:06 AM #349034Lyra

ParticipantWhat a load of %&$*%&!!! Here’s a quote from Obama’s prepared remarks.
The plan I’m announcing focuses on rescuing families who have played by the rules and acted responsibly
What a line of BS. If families played by the rules and acted responsibly, they wouldn’t need a bailout now would they? That Obama would engage in this blatent doublespeak just shows he is no different than the Bushies. (And personally, I can’t think of a bigger insult)
