So if you are really going to be thorough about then you put yourself in the baby’s position too. At least consider it’s feelings after it becomes viable. And if you still adhere to the concept of “do unto others…” or in those great song/words “what if it were youuuuuuuuu..?” then you ask what would I rather have done to me? Would I rather have a major choice taken away or have every choice I will ever make taken away via my very life?
A fetus is not a baby because it’s not been born yet and it can’t have any feelings or even a conscience.
It’s an “it” for a reason. It’s not a “he” or a “she”.
If I had been aborted, then I wouldn’t know any better so it wouldn’t matter to me. I would have been in heaven already and I would have been spared life on earth.
It’s interesting that me the cons are against abortion but support the death penalty and war.
All of the above is besides the point though. Abortion is legal. Women who want to have abortions should be able to do so without being harassed. Doctors who want to open legal businesses should not be intimidated by acts of terrorism.
If you don’t like the law, try to change it. But leave law abiding citizens alone. Stop heckling and harassing them and leave them to do their daily business in peace.
What is your definition of consciousness and feelings? When do those thing come to be during the pregnancy…even by your definition? But it is apparent that you already have avoided this process. Just like the Cons who avoid putting themselves in the gay mans shoes. You far lefties are no different than the far rights.

I really don’t see the parallel.
Gay people have relationships among themselves. They don’t bother or harm anyone; and they don’t do anything illegal.
If a woman wants to have a legal abortion, why condemn her or try to interfere with her business?
If you don’t like abortion, you can work to make it illegal, if you want. All the more power to you. You won’t be successful, but you may try. In the mean time, leave the women and the doctors alone.

I have spelled out the parallel quite clear. To repeat; neither side is thorough in its thinking or as emphatic as it thinks it is.
You won’t even consider whether or not a baby has feelings before it is born. I have asked you when you think they do but you won’t answer the question.
Quite true a zygote will never know the difference but a fetus in the fifth month will definitely know it is dying. Yet you refuse to even consider this.
The left will consider the feelings of minorities and women, and rightly so, but not someone who is to be born in a month.
Yet you claim to be more thoughtful than the right.
