He was nominated less than 2 weeks into his presidency. I guess that the committee bought into the ‘hope and change’ nonsense as well, despite no evidence of either in the last 9 months.

They should be renamed: World lefty favorite of the year award or something like that.
(They should stop giving these for peace, economics and literature and stick to the original goal of only giving those for physics, chemistry and biology)
