Obama’s accomplishments so far

What’s the point of an ambitious plan if you can’t get it through?

Obama did propose a public works plan, but it went nowhere with Republican opposition.

So the President compromised with Republicans on the Stimulus bill. Obama compromised on the extention of the Bush tax cuts. Where is Republican compromise?

So we know what Obama is up against — Republican obstruction at every turn.

What is the Republican jobs plan? None.

Spending cuts and tax cuts? That will not create jobs for people who need to pay their mortgages next month.

If you believe that Obama is not doing a good job, what candicate do you propose to replace him?

In construction, you don’t fire your contractor unless you have someone else, better qualified, who will keep your project moving along.

Obama wants to advance his own vote buying program (“advancing a progressive economic and social agenda”), while the Republicans wish to advance their own vote buying agenda (tax cuts for the wealthy and supporting Big Business, Big Oil and Big Money). Hence the gridlock in D.C. we’re presently experiencing.

The Dems don’t have a plan, but neither do the Repubs. I’ll be the first one to say that the GOP is out to lunch. I just want to hear you say the same of Obama and the Dems. C’mon, it’ll be like tearing off a Band-Aid. A little sting and then it’ll feel better.

However, its his general ineptitude and helplessness on other fronts that I take issue with. He can’t legitimately blame Dubya any longer for the shit we’re in. He now owns this. And he does not have a credible plan for fixing it. If he did, you can bet your ass that Brian would be shouting it from the rooftops.
