Number of homes selling

I was once told by a wise sage that the number of homes selling never changes. The change is which homes are selling. Anyone smarter then me knows of a website to prove this theory or any thoughts on whether it is true?

Although, to play devil’s advocate to myself, perhaps your friend was taking a larger than regional view, such as a national view or global view of the market.

Even still, I doubt this is the case.

I do not believe that to be true at all. The June, July and August solds were close to 30% less then the June, July, August solds from 2005.
