I’m on day 4 of my covid adventure. Vaxxed and boosted, didn’t get too sick, but then again, I wouldn’t want to be much sicker than this.

Pretty clear to me tonight that enjoying>understanding.

Yikes. We haven’t caught it yet (that we know of) but it sure feels like it is circling closer.

We know several ppl fully vaxed/boosted who got sick enough recently to know they had it.

I’ve had colds and such but I haven’t been out sick for one day in the last 25 years to miss work, till this week. Covid week. Knocked me out.

Strangely I usually would get the worst of a cold on weekends, then bounce back for Monday. No way I could do anything but lie around.

I’d say it was worse than I expected, but not bad at all compared to classic covid.

Glad to hear you’re doing better scaredy. Even though we’re all triple vaxxed, we still feel like we’ve just been lucky to dodge the bullet so far, and hope this surge is almost over, but, who knows if there might be another in our future.

Looking forward to watching what the new year brings in real estate and the stock market. It’s been a great ride for the past several years, so it will definitely be interesting to see what’s next.

Speaking of real estate. Someone sent this to me tonight:)

“What about all cash buyers?
I know someone who offered $200K over asking all cash and got beat today by someone offering a half million over all cash.
That person also showed me another listing that just went $1.5 million over asking..
WTF is going on? In Newport Beach. Very nice but certainly not amazing homes.
Can someone explain to me what’s going on? I guess I forgot to order a printing press on Amazon like every one else.”

New listings 7 (17) – just keeps getting tighter

New Pendings of 12 (34) – could sell 5X easily if we had it

Thats -5

Closed sales at 10 –

Price reductions at 0 –

Total houses for sale 26 (42) with median of $2.585M.

Single family under $1M firmly in rear view mirror. Everything under $2M currently on the market is less than one week and will sell as soon as they can sort through offers. Maybe next week

In Greater SD county, 3BR 2000 sf+ under 1.2M only 44right now. My guess is, they will all be gone in a week.

For 4BR, only 34 SFHs.

(lowest) 800K gets you on the edge of Camp Peldelton off 76 or down in Chula Vista.

Have never seen such a fantastic real estate run-up in my lifetime–but where things go from here is still a mystery, and the Russia situation may become a thing–or not. As always, probably best to be prepared on all fronts for whatever happens.

I have never been this sick in my life. Jeez. It’s mild, I guess, but usually one gets a little sick, you rest, you shake it off. This bug is way more tenacious.

Never? Not even in the 70s?

My parents were involved in real estate before I became involved, so I don’t recall any specifics, but I know they took advantage of some great opportunities over various decades. Still, the last several years have been pretty great for investors, too.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve heard it’s extremely debilitating. Nice you have a doctor in the house:)

Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll all be living with some incarnation of the beast going forward, so life goes on, and all we can do is what most of us are doing to try to stay safe. Take care.
