Curious to see if anyone else has experienced this lately.
My local coffee houses and lunch spots have been very accomodating lately. For the last week and a half, I keep thinking that I must be beating the rush or coming after the rush.
Just today, I went to Wahoos (great fish taco place). I was there at 12 and the place was not its usual self. Those that know this restaurant; you’re always waiting in line at this place. I walked up and ordered, no line. Spent about 30 minutes eating and talking to a co-worker. By the time we left, still no line and plenty of tables open.
One thing that hits you in the face is the emptiness of Home Depot stores (And parking lots too). Have you been there lately? It used to be a zoo during the bubble days. Now it is down to one or two checkout counters and still no waiting. One needs an IQ just above the freezing point to recognize the recession just seeing that.
