Record all interactions with the tenant. CA requires all-party consent, but a periodic beep tone is legally enough to put the recorded party on notice.

Then he gave you an attitude and said he would move out when it was convenient for him? Do I have that right? Wow, I want you for my next landlord.
Attorneys that specialize in evictions abound, and it is a competitive business so they all charge about the same. I’m sure some Piggs will weigh in with some names you can go to. Call one ASAP, and do not try to do this legal stuff on your own.
BTW, if your offer to him to let him stay was in writing, then it alters your lease and you are bound by it.November 25, 2013 at 8:00 PM #768474CluelessParticipantThanks for your post. Anyone knows a good lawyer?
