I’ve found length of commute really correlate with one’s quality of life. you did well.
just to help us fellow piggs out a bit. you would say Gaithersburg is more of a
A: Carlsbad
B: San Marcos
C: Escondido
D: RB/4S
F: Carmel Valley
E: Scripps Ranch
G: Ramona
H: Oceanside(btw, didn’t want to give you a none of the above).
so anyone arranging a SD to Gaithersburg Piggington Bus Tour? =)
Almost impossible to draw a comparison to anything in San Diego, but I suppose Scripps Ranch would be the closest. The main difference with this area is how different the history is. The heart of Gaithersburg is an old civil war town with a steam engine parked in the town square. You also can’t find anything in San Diego on 1.15 acres for less than 1.5 million π
And yes jp, I think I can accommodate everyone at the next Gaithersburg meet and greet. You may have to sleep in the basement though. (I have a basement!)
By the way oc, I know you can’t acommodate any more readers, but I really miss your blog.

May 1, 2009 at 9:56 AM #390950CBadParticipantCongrats, your house is beautiful! I wish you many happy years there with you and your family.
(Side note: My mind starts spinning when I see a house that big and I think about furnishing and decorating it. Seriously, I think I’d have a nervous breakdown. And oh yeah, cleaning it, yikes. I’m not trying to rain on your parade Navydoc, just sharing my fears on a house that big.)
