As to those questions which arose in the “how many Piggs have bought” thread; the reasons I’m buying is: #1, this tour will likely continue until I retire, which is in 8 1/2 years, #2, I can’t rent anything close to this nice for anywhere near what my mortgage payment will be, and #s 3&4, I won’t have a lying landlord that comes back from Malaysia 2 years earlier than they said they would and kick me out, or a deadbeat loser landlord that doesn’t pay the mortgage.
My wife was pretty upset initially about our move to Bethesda, and how it will take her away from her family, but this house eases the blow tremendously. Don’t worry fellow Piggs, I’m not going away. This is still the best financial and real estate website anywhere online, and I still intend to read it almost daily. I also have to keep up on San Diego real estate for after I retire!
