We used Discount Movers last time and it was a nightmare. They forgot to show up. Then they sent a crew later that afternoon. The guys were worn out so it was 11:30p.m. by the time they finished. It ended up costing us a lot more time and money than it should have.

Seriously. I have friends who were scammed on a move. A moving company back in Chicago made me aware of moving scam. Told me to check out whomever I choose.

Local move you probably won’t have an issue because it’s a point to point move done over 1 day (1/2 day more like it). Pretty hard for a company to hold your stuff hostage for a local move.

Local move you probably won’t have an issue because it’s a point to point move done over 1 day (1/2 day more like it). Pretty hard for a company to hold your stuff hostage for a local move.

It is not just about scam companies, but provides a ton of detailed info about moving and also has personal opinions of a lot of companies from people who used a company listed on the site and took time to give feedback. It is a great starting point.
