Not sure what that could be!
I saw a glitzy looking Mercedes for sale today in a driveway of a home that has been for sale for months. Love seeing things like that. To top it off, the lady who lives there used to boast about her investor husband and how they owned many properties around town. She’d always start the conversation by talking about how much the neighbor got for their home, or how such and such yard looked so bad. She was all about image and really put up a false front.
A good indicator of outward migration is to check U-Haul rates from point to point, and vice-versa. For example, to rent a 26′ U-Haul from SD to Phoenix is $646 one-way…. yet in the reverse direction it is but $174!!
That tells me more people are leaving SD than coming in!
Could be repos… People don’t turn their foreclosed-on cars in to the lender as requested, or it’s a service provided by the lender. Looks like the bank sends the repo company out to get the vehicles.
