(Having just returned from Sicily – I have fantasies of being in one of those pod/full flat beds at the front of the plane for an overseas trip. No armrest wars for those folks!)
Are you sure you want to spend the cost of a bathroom remodel on a flight? If you’re taking the whole family it can be expensive out of your pocket.
As one who travels frequently, I have found the way to make it easy. Don’t fret about the boring long hours of flight ahead. Don’t try to find entertainment.
Wear earplugs and eye mask, close your eyes, think about whatever fancies you, and you will fall asleep. There’s nothing like sleep to make a flight pass quickly. Plus you’ll arrive refreshed.

I wish that worked for me. It doesn’t.
I love flying. I’m just a terrible sleeper on planes. On the way there I’m too excited by the trip. On the way home, I’m busy going over in my mind the highlights of the trip. My husband and kids sleep much better than me…And if I had $5M, I wouldn’t have to worry about the binary choice of bathroom remodel or first class. Since I don’t have $5M, I choose coach. But dream of those flat beds at the front of the plane.

Seven inches doesn’t sound like much but I have to tell you it was pure heaven.
