More people asking for gas money

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that more and more often are complete strangers asking for gas money when you’re stopped at a gas station?

I have stayed to watch them and they do actually put gas into their cars – after they’ve asked others for gas money.

I expect we’ll be seeing more of this as gas prices continue to increase.

I have noticed people are very careful not to spill when returning the pump back lately. I remember like a couple years ago when people would just drop gas all over the place spilling on their car and drop cash at the same time.
