The guy owns 7 properties in SD County most purchased very inexpensively at the last bottom. He put 20% down on this one and is hardly some rube making a foolish uninformed decision. He’s been around for a long time and probably has a very substantila passive income from all his rental properties. He saw what he thought was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a really special property. More power to him.

I think the point here is that the UT isn’t telling us what you are…materially omitting that this guy isn’t a rube, leads all the other, actual rubes, to think: hey, maybe I can do that too…
before plunging feet first over the cliff with all the other lemmings
