Could it be if you buy a home in La Jolla and complain about the pool service fee nobody hears you…..
$110 seems about right. Reasonable or not is different for everyone. To me, it’s not, that’s why I decided to DIY the pool maintenance. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a synch.

Not to mention the free skin peel with every pool party.

LOL!
Seem reasonable. Essentially another gardener…
Then again, I’m with AN on the DIY thing. The salt generator helps a lot, just need to add couple of bags of salt when the salt generator shows it is running low. As for the debris, no debris issue with a pool cover.
Btw, how often does the pool get used in LJ?
We originally didn’t want a home with a pool but since the rest of the home was exactly what we were looking for, we settled with it anyway. I’ve read a couple of the posts on here about DIY pool maintenance and that’s the route I eventually want to go but not anytime soon. Having never dealt with a pool before, I just wanted to be sure it was reasonable. The monthly cost of $110 to service it weekly seems reasonable but the $50 annual conditioner fee seemed a bit high–considering it’d probably cost only $20 to do it myself and they are buying the chemicals in bulk.
