And this illustrates how we are all different. i never said it was under the flight path but rather overlooking the landing strip. I get annoyed when I hear small planes wandering my way from Palomar Airport several miles away. The last thing I would want is to watch jumbo jets taking off and landing all day but thats just me. An awesome bay view is not awesome if it includes jumbo jets and thiousands of cars/trucks drivng by at 70+MPH. I’d gladly pay $800 annual Mello roos not to look at that. Its funny but I remeber one of these posters stating they would never consider a home overlooking or with any road noise and surprising here she is again pimping locations like that. Everyone has different tolerance levels for different things.

I just can’t imagine how insane someone was to buy it during the bubble for almost 1.7 million. More than double the 2002 price. And if you ask me, sitting right there on the freeway, it’s still quite a chunk of change at 725k. Beautiful place and great view. I’m not sure about the location. In 2009 they were still trying to fetch 1.5 million. The bank approved the short sale last summer for 950k.[/quote]
Wow, I’d hate to be the (former) lender on that one!
Cool house!

April 1, 2011 at 9:30 PM #682567jpinpbParticipantWho said they would not consider a home w/road noise and who is pimping it?
You mean pay $800 extra a month in HOAs and MR, like 14649 Caminito Lazanja.
I would really hate to have to pay those fees. But I wouldn’t pay 725k to hear to freeway either. Nevertheless, back in the peak it fetched $1,690,000. Any upper end home that saw this place sell for so much clearly must have figured their place is worth way more.
