Very nice work Dave. There’s no way in hell you can get over $3000/month rent in Mira Mesa. 2200 sq-ft house in Sorrento Valley are renting for $2700/month and 2700-2900 sq-ft house in SV are going for around $3200/month.

May 9, 2008 at 3:33 PM #201903DWCAPParticipantI am guessing this is a mini dorm move. what they are doing is trying to attract the UCSD/SDSU students. 3500/6 is still only 580 a month and that is what a room in just about anywhere else in MM is gonna cost, if slightly less. So the minidorm movement is alive a well in MM.

May 9, 2008 at 3:43 PM #202012nostradamusParticipantThat’s true, there are many mini-dorms in those areas but I don’t know whether they are students. Some of them are just people in low-paying jobs (I know several who live in these). I guess it’s one way people manage to afford living in SD.
