Participantwhat does a typical 3 bedroom rent for there?
2200?
Is it wrong to look at
2200*150 = 330,000 as the time to start looking? There are a few places close to that, but not many, and not areas I’d live in ;(

I’m not sure the houses in those neighborhoods are renting out for $2200 a month. A co-worker just started renting a not so nice 3-bedroom at $1900 a month. That puts the lower end more around $285,000. From looking at craigslist the lower-end neighborhoods are more in the $1800-$1900 range for a 3br or 4br house comparable to the houses now selling in the low to mid 300,000’s.
