It would cost me about 6k a year for a landscaper but I do a lousy job with 5 hours a week. That’s like 10 k a year pretax.
My hands are still buzzing from 3 hours of weedwhacking today.

That’s cuz you bought a large property. I think we pay about $1500/yr and never have to worry about anything. Yard always looks great.
They haven’t increased our price in 15 years. Probably because we pay them no matter what…slow season, rain, the 6 months they didn’t have to work due to yard remodel, coronavirus, whatever. We pay them.

Well that’s it. I’ll never be a buddhist.
And you were spending $60/week on alcohol?

On average, at least, including eating out.
I mean, a half bottle of nice wine and a good scotch is 7 to 10$ at home right there.
A bottle of pliny the elder alone is 7.
365 days a year times 7 is 2500. Probably more than 3000 a year.

. Clearing hillsides is brutal. I was bred not for manual labor. So weak. Skinny. Pale. But so frugal.
…My hands buzzing
A light has gone on i n my head re alcohol. It was taking more than it was giving me. Not just the money…but the money too. So much money, but also I’m old. I’m done. Like meat, and cheese, I’ve had enough. Enough already.
I value being really hydrated. But it’s kind of complex, hydration when you read about it. It’s not just slugging glasses of water. I cant a Ford the physical toll of any alcohol.
Alcohol, bad.
Soup, good.
Normally id be drinking after all that work. To kind of dull the general ache. Also I have a shin splint.
But it’s ok and even nice just sitting here throbbing. Might take a tylenol. Maybe not
The pain of life not marked over and accepted calmly is not bad really
May 4, 2020 at 12:17 PM #817035FlyerInHiGuestIf you cut out expenses here and there, the amounts add up. Your phone bill, cable bill etc…..
I don’t drink so I save a lot of money.
