I don’t think so, afx. He’s posted photos of his kids on here :=0
February 14, 2013 at 9:41 AM #759368NotCrankyParticipantO.K. , It looks like I was wrong about the cops knowing this guy was in the house right near their command post and not very far at all from where he left his truck. It’s pretty damn unbelievable though.
Evidently, the cops just let this couple walk right into his hideout to be tied up and robbed of their car? All the overtime and other extra crisis shit( death and injury to the last two deputies) that comes from them not finding him “in plain site” is staggering.
Add the shooting of the people who had nothing to do with this and the cops get a very low grade. FBI involved too? Wow!

February 15, 2013 at 12:31 AM #759434paramountParticipantSo let me get this straight: The cabin burned to the ground, body severely charred and yet his drivers license survived?
And I thought his wallet/ID had been left in San Diego?
February 15, 2013 at 8:27 AM #759450NotCrankyParticipantThat’s easy, Paramount. There was no fire triangle path to the drivers license. for some reason.
For instance, if Dorner were laying on top of it and he did not burn completely through the license would be like new. What difference does it really make anyway. He’s dead.

I very much agree. This could not have been handled worse it was an absolute calamity with all the errors by law enforcement. Not many press conferences introducing everybody and saying what a great job so and so did? Now they are trying to get out of paying the reward money, that should go over real well.
February 15, 2013 at 10:16 AM #759458NotCrankyParticipantSure, the police officer’s union puts up some money when they’re scared of a cop killer on the loose. But they’d screw the people who found him and reported him, only because they had not themselves been competently “protected and served ” out of that money. Once said cop killer is dead all that money goes back into the donut fund. If for no other reason, they should concede some money to the carjack and hostage victims for screwing them in the first place.

In reading the report, the wallet was NOT under Dorner’s body.
In addition, we have the following:
According to reports, the boat’s prop became fouled and the gunman was not able to operate the boat. The gunman in the attempted “boat-jacking” was described as a heavyset man in his 30s dressed in black clothing — and officers are awaiting forensics testing to positively determine whether the suspect is, in fact, the 270-pound, 6-foot-tall Dorner, Hassen said. Dorner’s wallet, containing his identification, was found near San Diego’s Lindbergh Field on Feb. 7.
and…
Investigators say Dorner attempted to steal a boat in San Diego and drive it to Mexico. Dorner’s wallet, including his identification cards, was also found at the San Ysidro Point of Entry near the U.S.-Mexico border, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Maybe the police lied (not a surprise), maybe he had multiple wallets (I sort of doubt that), maybe the reporting was wrong.
Or maybe were being lied to now.
February 15, 2013 at 11:48 AM #759472NotCrankyParticipantI didn’t say it was under his body, I used that as a “for instance”. Where was the driver’s license allegedly at in Big Bear? Maybe it wasn’t even in a wallet? Maybe his wallet and some id was in one place(or that could be incorrect) and his license was in another. He possibly had several forms of ID? Possibly a few wallet like ID carriers.
Can you show me this report that references where the license was allegedly found in big bear and specifically what Id’s were found anywhere else? A real police report. Anyway, my point is a drivers license can survive a fire, easily,
I cannot be sure it did or didn’t, or be sure about much of the other , especially unofficial reports. As to being lied to , could be. Where and how? What fundamental difference could it make?
Edit, O.K. you NEWS REPORT says a wallet was found in the cabin ruin with his license. None of this means anything to me. I am not sure about you but a lot of people seem to be concluding that since the drivers license is a “lie” that is wasn’t Dorner or he got away. In that case , I would ask his mom if he is dead, if it wasn’t such and uncouth thing to do.
