That post is like six words and it takes a minute to figure out what you meant, which ruins the joke. We all have our keyboard issues, spelling isn’t a requirement because it’s just a blog. I overuse commas and I use ; instead of ‘ 1 in every 5 times. But when you blend words, and you do it in every other sentence, it just confuses the hell out of us and makes you look like you are typing on meth. I struggled with dislexia as a kid, almost had to ride the little bus. It took years to get past it. Now, after a few glasses of wine, I just break out my reading glasses and rely on my old friends at microsoft to soften the edges. Give it a spin.
On the plus side it reminded me of two of my favorite things, my favorite book about grammar, “Eats, Shoots and Leaves” and of course saturday night live’s celebrity jeopardy, in which Sean Connery always moves a letter in describing a category, check it out at about 4:45 into this video, or watch the whole thing.

October 10, 2009 at 6:14 AM #466797scaredyclassicParticipantit is actually impossible to offend me. i think people sometimes try, but, no…. it just cannot be done. long story, but it’s kind of work/life related…
ironically, I was the Spelling Bee champ of a certain large geographical area in the late 1970’s and also worked several years as a professional writer, later work required intense writerly precision.
perhaps my poor presentation shows self-mocking contempt for my own scattered thoughts, or perhaps it reads as contempt for the audience. I’d bring it up in therapy, and try to straighten the issue out, but unfortunately I’m not in therapy, or if i am in therapy, it is limited to various chat groups like this one. in fact, now that i think about it, i think the speedy uncensored, reflexive posts are an attempt to dredge the admittedly shallow puddle of my subconscious in a low-budget manner. of course, that’s kind of dumb. and potentially irritating.
i have the book — eats shoots and leaves — on the shelf here but have never cracked it open. should i read the book or cut straight to the movie.
