If you are receptive, then before buying I would meet the owners and the dogs to judge if they too are willing to work with you and if the dogs are friendly.
You never know but you might even become dog owners yourself as kids love ’em. Or in this case the kid can play with the neighbors dog if you don’t want one around the house.
HTH, YMMV

July 13, 2010 at 9:03 AM #577937ryphoenixParticipantUnfortunately it’s a HOA-free neighborhood. But I’m curious as what did the HOA do? Make them keep the dogs inside?? Good point on new neighbor with dog moving in, that’s why I’m hoping to find a solution rather than avoiding the issue.
Woo that Bark Free looks interesting. Seems like the neighbors may figure it out when their dog behaves strangely? I guess my issues are potential boredom/false alarm barks, which the Bark Free would solve. But more importantly the dogs should be able to learn/figure out that hey we’re the people living next door, so don’t bark at us. Unfortunately the dogs don’t seem to learn this on their own, as we are experiencing right now after 2 years at the same place.
