I didn’t particularly like Reagan, didn’t feel he was all that bright (though a Rhodes Scholar compared to dubya).
But I did love the way he spoke and always enjoyed listening to him. His demeanor was so disarming and seemed so natural. Probably came from being an actor…Arnold is the same way.[/quote]
He didn’t get that “Great Communicator” moniker for nothing. I’d also opine that his days as GE’s “ambassador” also prepared him, in terms of his oration. It certainly informed his anti-Communist and pro-business philosophy. Many people forget that Reagan was once a Democrat, and strongly pro-union during his acting and SAG president days.
