San Diego Public Radio has been talking about the planned community up in Lilac Hills lately. Anyone have thoughts?

First off, holy crap, that’s way up there! It’s practically in Pala.

I’m not quite sure who their target market or price point will be. It has to be cheaper than Esco to be competitive, right?

Valley Center is east of the 15. Carlsbad is on the 5.

I think spdrun is not far off, Carlsbad (and surrounds) is growing population and industry much faster than it’s adding new homes.

There are two other large projects in the same general area that should get started in the next year or so as well.

North county is growing, you can’t keep it bottled up in south county areas.
