Wondering what you piggs think of the strategy and the sample letters in this article.

Being a housing bear, I can’t say I think much of the response letter from the seller to the buyer, but more generally, what about the strategy of enclosing a letter with a bid so that your case gets heard.

Alternatively, I do know that when the market was hot, realtors would sometimes try to make a presentation to sellers about why the offer from their client was a good one. Do any realtors still make presentations like that? Most of what I hear is, write up an offer an fax it, then wait for a response. Not a very convincing sales strategy.

But that’s just my limited opinion. What do the realtors and more experience people on this board think of the idea of sending a letter like the one in this article with an offer?
