SEH is bashed a bit too much here. You could get some good deals there now, but almost every property has an offer or two on it.

January 23, 2009 at 10:56 AM #333976EugeneParticipantIf I were in your situation, I’d get a condo closer to the ocean. You can get a nice 1-bedroom condo in UTC west of the 5 for 300K or less. A house in SEH is way too much for a single person. It’s really a family area, for families with kids.
If you foresee changes in your situation in the next few years (meeting someone else and raising children again), maybe you shouldn’t buy at all, rent instead.
